International agreements

The Austrian Standards Institute forms part of a worldwide network. To continuously improve the services for its customers – especially in markets that are particularly important and promising – it enters into special co-operation agreements.

Recent agreements

September 2010: Within the framework of the 3-year project “Technical Assistance to the Standards and Quality Management Programme”, a Syrian delegation came to the Austrian Standards Institute.

July 2010: Europe reinforces its international visibility in standardisation. India now also has a European standardisation representative - Mr. Kiritkumar Lathia.

In February 2010 the Kazakh standardisation institute KAZINST and The Austrian Standards Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Vienna to intensify co-operation in standardisation and to foster the exchange of information.

On 25 June 2009 a Memorandum of Understanding with the Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardisation, Metrology and Patents (ASCSMP) in was signed in Vienna.

In June 2009 the State Committee for Standardisation of the Republic of Belarus (GOSSTANDART) and Austrian Standards Institute (ASI) signed a co-operation agreement.
