Developing standards and rules is a process based on partnership. Various people who are either interested in or affected by a specific topic, come together in an effort to reach a consensus on technical questions through dialogue.

Austrian Standards Institute is an acknowledged partner within the international network of the European and international community of standardisation.

Co-operation and information agreements extending the formal joint work of CEN and ISO were made in the past years or months.

Delegations of foreign standardisation organisations, economic missions, politicians or diplomats are frequent guests and gather first-hand information about the possibilities of standardisation.

In addition, Austrian Standards Institute supports many foreign consulting-projects and is an acknowledged partner for transmitting know-how.
