Individual Requirements on experts

The experts participating in committees represent the parties interested in a specific topic of standardisation. They decide whether something gets standardised and define the material contents of the standard – both, during the development of national standards (ÖNORM) as well as while participating in European and international standards-projects.

The committees and working groups are directed by chairpersons, who are responsible for the progress of the standards-project.

The committee-managers of Austrian Standards Institute counsel and assist the experts. They have the necessary competence and experience in implementing the procedures which must be respected when developing standards.
