Represented by the Italian standardisation body UNI, the European Pest Management Industry Association (CEPA) submitted a proposal on the development of European Standards on pest management to CEN.
The intention is to define harmonised requirements and basic competences of pest control operators.

One of the starting points of these standards is CEPA's "Roma Protocol" (PDF) that outlines the general approach and objectives of the industry.
