Upon the proposal of ISO’s Committee on Consumer Policy (ISO/COPOLCO), the International Organization for Standardization considers the development of standards on financial services information.

At its latest workshop held in Bali in late May, ISO/COPOLCO prepared a related proposal.

This initiative has been taken because banks frequently provide inadequate information on financial investments (from a consumer perspective). Standards should lead to better informed decisions by investors.
